Never too late

My mum was a nurse in Southeast Asia in the 70s and unknowingly contracted Hep B through work.

So my sister and I both had it at birth and I guess we didn't find out til later.

I've managed it as best I could in Southeast Asia but everything is out of pocket, especially the DNA test for the viral load. So I did it very infrequently. You need to see a liver specialist to discuss it so I also did that very infrequently.

When I moved to Perth, I was referred to the Deen Clinic by my GP and I was so relieved. The level of care, competence, concern and compassion was something I hadn't experienced before.

I had my 12 month check up recently and my viral load has gone from 5 figures to undetectable within the year.

I'm so relieved and grateful that this was available to me and bulk-billed too. ❤️
